General Auditions 2024

Et Tu Theatre is pleased to announce a round of General Auditions for upcoming productions on Sunday 2 June 2024 at the Bellingen Memorial Hall Studio.

We are passionate about developing the professional theatre industry and opportunities in this region and look forward to seeing as much local talent as possible.

We are particularly interested in both male-identifying and female-identifying actors with a playing age of 35-65 for our 2024 production. This is scheduled for 3-13 October at the Bellingen Memorial Hall.

But we encourage actors of any age to apply.

When: Sunday 2 June, 11am-3pm

Where: Bellingen Memorial Hall Studio, 32 Hyde Street, Bellingen, NSW, 2454

What: All actors will be given a 15 minute solo timeslot to perform a published contemporary monologue of their choosing (2 minutes max).

Actors may also be asked to read a passage from a play chosen by Et Tu Theatre, followed by a general discussion.

How to apply: Please provide your headshot and a CV of your acting experience to ettutheatre@gmail.com by Monday 27 May 2024.

Please let us know if you have a preferred audition time and we will do our best to factor that in. Selected auditionees will be notified by Wednesday 29 May 2024.

Workshops

Et Tu Theatre's Amy Bradney George and Seton Pollock (back row, left-hand side) with workshop participants at Camp Creative in 2024.

Et Tu Theatre co-founders Amy Bradney-George and Seton Pollock facilitate group workshops with a focus on text analysis and relationships with characters. In particular, they explore how you connect with the characters and text through different activities, exercises and scene study work.

Both Amy and Seton plan workshops in a way that fosters creativity, focus and a safe space for exploration.

In 2024, they ran a 5-day, sold out course at Bellingen's popular Camp Creative summer event, titled Acting for Adults: Finding yourself in the scene. The feedback was overwhelmingly positive and inspiring for both the participants and Amy and Seton.

Training

With over 30 years of acting and creative development experience between them, Seton and Amy are passionate about sharing their skills and insights with other people through one-on-one and small training sessions.

This includes audition preparation, character development, text analysis and dramaturgy, as well as public speaking training.

If you're interested in working with Et Tu Theatre, you can contact Seton and Amy at ettutheatre@gmail.com or through our Contact page.
